ABOUT US
West Surrey Tennis Club "WSTC" is the tennis section of West Surrey Golf Club. We're a friendly, welcoming tennis club located in Enton near Godalming. Being an LTA affiliated club with a total membership of 230 of which about 50 are junior members, our aim is to provide a comprehensive tennis programme which includes regular club playing sessions, active singles ladder, internal Floodlit leagues, winter and summer club championships, fun tournaments , inter-club matches & leagues, VETS Championships and excellent coaching for all levels and a very active social calendar. The Club holds regular doubles tactics and tennis clinics which are free to adult members. During the summer months we hold regular Friday night BBQs and social tennis.
Families with young children
In the summer of 2021 the Club plans to hold family time on selected Sunday afternoons - where members with with younger children can get together and enjoy tennis with the little ones using red and orange balls and kiddie size tennis nets. In previous summers, parents have combined the tennis with picnics or BBQs making the occasion a very sociable and fun family event.
Charities
Each year we aim to hold fun tennis events in support of nominated local charities. Previous charities include the Big 60 TennisFEST where the club raised £1000 for the Samson Centre for Multiple Sclerosis in Guildford and The Killmasters Charity event where WSTC made a contribution to the final amount of £70,000 raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
Play & stay
Tennis members are also social members of West Surrey Golf Club and very much encouraged to make full use of the recently refurbished clubhouse bar and restaurant. Relax and enjoy a drink after a match, or take a light lunch or coffee on the sun-terrace overlooking the stunning 18th fairway and green. The quality of food is excellent and the resident chef Andy Johnston regularly creates new dishes to tempt you!
Throughout the year the Tennis Club holds a number of social functions such as a Club Championships Awards, Quiz nights, Race Nights, Christmas Party and AGM.
There is an ongoing maintenance programme to ensure our tennis courts are maintained and kept in tip top condition. The courts benefit from recently upgraded high performance LED floodlights - which are free to use.
