JOIN THE WSTC FAMILY/JUNIOR SOCIAL SUNDAY WHATSAPP GROUP
Members (with children or grandchildren)
Courts booked 3-5pm on Sunday (once a month) from May to September.
All three courts have been reserved for the Junior/Family Social Sunday once a month from 15:00-17:00 throughout the summer.
Even if your child is not a Junior member, please bring them along if they wish to play, the aim of the session is to get them into tennis with a view that they may enjoy themselves and want to take up tennis at the right time (hopefully at WSTC).
Tennis formats
Given there will be a range of abilities, we would hope to arrange the session as follows:
The idea is that the parents will help with looking after their children (depending on age category) and be around to oversee generally, collect balls etc.
We can’t be too prescriptive with the exact format without knowing the numbers who will likely turn up, so we will be flexible and assess what makes most sense on the day. There will be running about the court in some fashion getting exercise and hopefully enjoying themselves.
What to bring on the day
Tennis gear, water bottles and any snacks that you feel they would need to eat over a 2 hour period. Parents or guardians are asked to help on court, so please bring your tennis racket and appropriate gear. There are kids rackets available to borrow.
BBQ
The BBQ and coals will be available for those wishing to use it.
We look forward to seeing you!

Given there will be a range of abilities, we would hope to arrange the session as follows:
- On Court 1, so they can hit using regular balls , the more advanced Junior players will get so do some drills and play some games in a format to be determined based on the numbers and turn-out.
- On Courts 2 and 3, we would run tennis drills, tennis games and other skills based (hopefully fun) activities. We have 2 junior nets and can use the introduction Red balls for early learners and, for the more advanced children, the Orange balls.
