Anyone aged 55 or over on 1 October 2026, of any playing standard. Closing date for entries 3rd October.

🏆 Handicap Format – how it works!
To keep every match competitive, the handicap system applies throughout the tournament, including the final.

🥈 VETS Plate Tournament
Lose in the first round? Your day isn't over!
All first-round losers will automatically enter the VETS Plate Tournament—a second knockout competition using the FAST4 format (first to 4 games - same for the final -first to win 4 games).
This guarantees at least two matches for every player, with more prizes up for grabs.
All club members—including all those youngsters under 55—are warmly invited to come along, watch the tennis, support the players.

🏆 Handicap Format – how it works!
To keep every match competitive, the handicap system applies throughout the tournament, including the final.
- Competitors start at zero/zero
- Lose a game? You start the next game 15 points ahead (15–0).
- Lose two games in a row? You start the next game 30 points ahead (30–0). This is the maximum handicap.
- Win a game while starting on 30? Your handicap is reduced to 15 for the next game.
- Win again while starting on 15? Your handicap is removed, and you start the next game level (0–0).
- Maximum handicap: 30 points.
- When serving, simply serve from the correct side according to the score.
🎾 Match Format – Fast5 Knockout Rounds (excluding the Final)
- First player to win 5 games.
- Sudden death at the first deuce.
- Matches last approximately 20–25 minutes.
- Win and progress to the next round!
🎉 The Final
The handicap system remains in play.
- Best of 3 sets
- First player to win 6 games wins the set.
- At 5–5, a tie-break to 7 points (win by 2) decides the set.
- If the match reaches one set all, a Championship Tie-Break is played to 10 points (win by 2).

- 12.30 to 13.30 – Sandwiches available. Play will continue throughout.
