ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PLAYERS

COURT SWEEPING PROTOCOL
  • As courtesy to other players please allow at least 5 minutes before the end of your session to sweep the courts in a timely manner for the next court booking.
  • Club sessions: If nobody is waiting for your court when you finish play then it is your job to sweep it, lock the gate and return the key
  • Pick leaves/debris up before sweeping or playing and place in the black leaf bins provided
  • Heavy rain and very icy conditions: do not sweep the court
  • It is important to bring the sand back into the centre of the court.
    • THINK SNAIL WHEN SWEEPING THE COURTS!   Start at the court bench Drag the mat towards the very back of the court run off zone  & sweep in a coiled, snail-like pattern (Don’t sweep side to side — it pushes sand back to the edges and encourages moss growth). Sweeping should  finish in the centre of the court.  Sweep the lines as a courtesy to others.  Help us keep our courts in top shape!
