WSTC Floodlit Box Leagues Rules
- Match Format:
- Play two sets only.
- At 5-5 in games, the next player to win a game wins the set 6-5. Agree either normal match scoring or 10 point tie-break beforehand (2 points clear).
- The maximum points a pair can score per match is 12.
- League Champions
- To qualify as champions, a minimum of four matches must be played.
- Scoring:
- One point per game.
- The league winner is the pair with the most points at the end of the session.
- Arranging Matches:
- Players are responsible for contacting and arranging their own matches.
- Find player contact details on the WSTC court booking site or by logging into the LTA Competitions Portal. Navigate to West Surrey Tennis Club Box League > scroll to your league > click on a player's name for contact information.
- Once the session starts, please contact those in your group to arrange your matches. After playing, log into the LTA Competitions Portal to record your match result.
- Court Booking:
- Courts can be booked beyond the standard 7-day rule. To request a specific date/time, complete the form below.
- Player Withdrawals:
- If a player withdraws from the league during a session (due to injury or other reasons), all their previous matches will be voided to ensure fairness to other players.
- No Show Policy:
- If a player fails to show up for a match, their opponent takes a walkover and records the score as 6-0, 6-0.
- Match Arrangements Disputes:
- If it becomes difficult to arrange a match due to scheduling disagreements, agree to a walkover and record the score as 6-0, 6-0. This applies only if the opposing player/pair has played at least one match with another player/pair.
- Match Results:
- Match results must be entered before midnight on March 31, 2025. The LTA automatically close the results page at midnight on the 31st March therefore blocking the ability to input match results.
