Q1. Is West Surrey Tennis Club currently accepting new members?
Membership is currently full. The committee reviews this each April. You can still apply to join our waiting list via the Membership Application Form
Q2. What types of membership are available?
We offer several categories — Full Adult, Family, Student, Junior, and Non-Playing (Social). Each includes access to club facilities and social events. Details and fees are listed on our Membership & Fees page.
Q3. How do I join?
Simply complete the online application form on our website. Once a place is available, we’ll contact you with next steps and payment details.
Q4. What are the benefits of membership?
Members enjoy free use of floodlit courts, balls, match play, roll-ups, coaching opportunities, and social events throughout the year.
Q5. Can I suspend my membership if I’m injured or away?
Yes — in special cases (e.g., injury or illness) the committee may suspend membership temporarily. Please contact the Club Secretary.
🟧 Guests & Visitors
Q6. Can I bring a guest?
Yes, members can bring guests for a small fee (see current rate on the noticeboard or in Club Rules). Guests may visit a limited number of times per year.
Q7. Do you offer pay-and-play for non-members?
Currently, the club is private and courts are not available for casual public booking.

Q8. How do I book a court?
Members can book courts online using our booking system. Courts can be booked in advance; please cancel if you can’t attend.
Q9. What should I wear on court?
Proper tennis clothing and non-marking tennis shoes are required. Please avoid running shoes or black-soled trainers.
Q10. What’s the policy for court care and sweeping?
After playing on the artificial clay courts, please sweep your court using the drag mats and brush the lines. Detailed instructions are displayed by the courts and on our Court Care notice.

We run adult and junior coaching programmes led by LTA-qualified coaches. Visit the Coaching pages for schedules and contact details.
Q12. Can beginners join coaching sessions?
Absolutely — there are coaching groups for all abilities. Juniors and adults are both welcome.
Q13. What social or roll-up sessions can I join?
Members can join weekly roll-up sessions, tournaments, and fun social events. Times are listed on the Club Tennis Sessions page and updated in the club diary.
